| Story - The Beginings:
Here we go again with another move........and I was a lil pissed. Just as I was settled in in Colorado my job up and transferred my to Europe. Who the f*ck do I know in Europe? Not a soul, but it's all about the adventure. Took a couple of months, but finally got settled in a small apartment outside of Nice. Cozy lil pad but the scenery was great. After seeing how much a rental car was costing me I decided to venture out and see what the car scene was like and how I could get into it. And from what I found out, there was quite the underground following here! Did I some digging and found a local importer with decent pricing. Managed to pick up a pristine, low mileage Silvia club k for a steal! Now it was down on power at the moment but still a sweet ride. Thank god the internet service was good, cuz I spent hours searching for rims and a kit. Hit up my buddies back in Colorado and had them send me some suspension bits to give a good stance as a roamed the country side. Hadn't worked on my back in a garage for a bit but I got it sorted in no time flat. Even tho it was a bit rainy I still took her for a ride. [/url] Destiny is her name and I love every inch of her...... Even in the rain, I felt like the sun was shining on me!! I think this may turn out to be a great time in Europe! And as I pulled in my apartment, I had to turn and take one last look at her....my Destiny
- Settling In:
Life was going way better than expected here in South France. The people were always friendly and the car scene is off the chain. So many great rides just cruising the area. I started to wonder what was up. Got some good news about my Colorado property being sold. Not the price I wanted to get but it sold with the cars nonetheless. I used some of the funds to get Destiny a new heart. A RB26 from a freshly wrecked GTR. So as that was being shipped in, I decided to respray the S13 khaki green and plasti-dip the rims white. Should be done in a bit but that left me hitching rides here and there. I desperately needed a daily. So I dipped in to a local grocery store and grabbed the local paper. Noticed a mean looking EK9 in the lot. All yellow and ready to sting!!! As I entered the store I noticed a flyer posted about a meet taking place. Some sort of festival called Horizon. Id have to check that out but in the mean time I needed wheels. It took a couple of days (and was difficult at times due to the language barrier) but I found a pristine condition 1988 BMW M5. It was about a mile from my temporary place so I walked on over to see it. It was getting dark but at least it wasn't raining. The moment I saw it, I knew I was going to buy her, but I had to put on my "poker" face and play the game. Made the transaction and knew it was meant to be! The leather even still smelled new!! I couldn't hide the smile on my face as I drove off. As I headed home I noticed the yellow EK9 behind me. Even with the radio on I could hear that CTR scrabbling for traction. As I turned off I made eye contact as he drove past. I gave him a nod, as did he. I had a feeling id meet up with him again. The Bimmer was awesome. So plush!! I immediately made plans for future upgrades. First thing was to get a good stance on Brenda (her new name). Ordered some Raceland coilovers. Cheap but effective. No need to spend the big bucks yet. She's gonna be mostly show, with a lil go. Ordered up a set of HREs and pow! I was ready to cruise. And cruise I did!!! Even got a call from the states telling me the other part of my collection sold and I had a bit of change coming to me! SCORE!!!! That required a seaside spin to put the icing on that cake!! Just need to find a house to match the saying on my plates!!

I was becoming addicted to driving...I mean i loved cars but now that i was here...it took on a whole new meaning. Destiny was coming along quite nicely. Got the RB swapped in, but not before i bored it out and upgraded the turbo. Shit..who doesn't like extra boost while hooning? The repair went butter smooth and after paint, she looked just looked just like she sounded...MEAN!!!!. So i decided to drive her for a while,so i could give the Bimmer some love. It too was going to get a fresh rebuild and a sport turbo. Nothing too fancy since i would be driving that to work daily. So i dropped the ole girl off at the shop and took out Destiny...The Euro landscape wont be the same when i get done... After about 30 minutes of driving i gave into the temptation....and of course...she didn't let me down The Hoon was deep with this one...she was meant to shred tires, bend fenders and ride doors. But for now i headed home to the small house i was renting. maybe i should move to a bigger spot? i couldn't be bothered at the moment with that..i was too busy staying fly!! I thought i was set. Beautiful country side, great people and not a worry in site. Got word that my neighbor was moving back to the states. He was a retired Army officer who had stayed overseas after his deployment. Great guy with a lot of great stories about everything. I was going to miss him but it looked like he had a surprise for me. He couldn't take everything back with him and he told me he had a Mustang that he would part with. He was enjoying my involvement with the local car scene and although he didn't have time to get to deep into it he had something that would separate me from the masses. My curiosity was getting the better of me!! We took a short ride to a villa in the hills where he stored it. As i rounded the corner, my jaw hit the floor.....and immediately knew no matter what, i had to have it!! She was gorgeous!! The body was arrow straight and the interior clean as a whistle. And for the best part...it had a 6.2 liter Boss swap with a twin turbo!! The thing was deadly!!!! I paid him whatever he wanted, no questions asked. I wanted it to stand out, so i had the body man give it a lil 'Merican feel to it with new paint. I was ready to drag the next victim up and down the street!! Did she make power? i don't know ...you tell me? I was 3 hoes deep and feeling like pimp once again!! And now off to the house hunt!!!
- Droppin Panties:
Life was going so great in South France it was scary. Things were happening so fast I hardly had any time to think, let alone enjoy the country side. But I was happy to have found my new house. It was a good sized 2 story unit with a deep 2 car garage. Located right between Saint Martin and San Giovanni and I even had a small pond in the back yard. And being the single bachelor that I was at the moment, I planned on throwing a lil shin dig to introduce the local ladies to my US swag. During my move I found a listing for a local salvage yard in the area. Im always a sucker for cheap parts so I jumped in the Bimmer and cruised over. O....M...G...so many parts!!! And they even had whole cars and a discount parts store. And the best part...after talking with the owner and giving him my background, it was agrred that id be the best fit to run the place!! Didn't know what to do with my self!! During the tour, I ran across a newly acquired RSX. It was clean, but do to a theft, the motor was gone. Made a quick deal for the car and a stock engine and had it hauled to my garage. During the next couple of weeks between working at the yard and other things I managed to get it up, running and painted. I aint gonna lie...I was falling in love all over again.... It rode like a dream but definitely needed some more power but id tackle that a different day. For now I was enjoying the drive Started to rain briefly and I made a wrong turn...note to self...she don't like mud... Got back to the house after a great day and saw I had a message. It was my dude TXSchmidt and it looked like he was moving to Europe!! This STAYFLY party was just about to begin!!!
- Hoarding or Collector?:
It was great having TX around again. The laughter, the jokes...it was a wonder we weren't locked up by the authorities by now. The transition seemed to go smoothly for the both of us. He was without a ride so I didn't even hesitate to give him the S13. He put up a fight but in the end, I won out. I mean who fights over who's giving who a free car? Lol. But in the end, that Left me with 3 rides. Any other guy would be happy with that. But not me. I swear my heart pumps octane and I bleed motor oil sometimes. But that's the nature of the beast. And the beast needed to be fed. So I began a new search. A search for something different. What did I want? Who knew but I was gonna find it. And during my search I stumbled across a local diner where all the racers hung out. A place to find local races, meet new people and perhaps find a lead to purchase a new ride. It was a quiet looking coffee shop on the outside, but it was the contents inside that amazed me. It was like an underground car enthusiasts dream come true! Pictures of cars everywhere, autographed parts of race cars, and current streaming of the weeks current Motorsport races from around the world! They even had a small poster board with the current schedule of local races. The was a street drag event held by some group called the FODRL and after scouring all the post it notes, I found a local race help by the grocery store clerk Wolfling! It was time to get my rides in order. First objective...get in that coastal run and lay down some good times!!
- Stay Fly take over:
The alarm went off suddenly in my ear. Usually I would just slap the snooze button but today was gonna be a great day. first part of the day was going to be bittersweet. I was sending my M5 off to a new home. But a great home tho. I found an old acquaintance named Tiger in Europe on his own adventure. Seems like everybody left the old hood in Colorado and ended up here. At least the big players in the underground racing scene did. So I got up got ready and headed off to the garage. Swapped out the HREs for the original BBS rims and gave her a final bath before departure. She never failed to make me smile and did again on the trip to Tiger's. A quick bout of paper work and currency exchange and I was off back home. Now for the real excitement! A large shipment of great vehicles had cleared customs and was for sale at the Bad To The Bone Car Lot. It was barely daylight but I was headed there to make some deals! As I arrived I noticed that there were a lot of people present and as a matter of fact I was the only one besides employees! Feeling great about having prime choice over all the cars I headed in to make a selection. Holy shit was there a lot of sweet rides! After the dust settled and paperwork signed, I was now the proud owner of not one but 2 new whips! Feeling the desperate need to drive one, I took the first purchase. A pristine Nissan Silvia S14. Low mileage beauty and arrow straight. Now that it was later in the day, a few people were out enjoying the fabulous day. And as the gazed over at my car, I really gave them something to look at..... Couldn't help but laugh as I pulled away. This was gonna be a great build and I couldn't wait to get her home. But I still had to come back for the other car.....maybe tomorrow ...
- Awww Yeah:
My woman was gonna kill me...She didn't mind my small obsession with cars, but my latest moves my change her mind. But it wouldn't change mine...I love cars..and love a deal even more. The Trueno was minty fresh and I had to have it. It was almost like a part of my soul returned to me when I fired her up. All the familiar feelings came back to me as I pulled off. I was in heaven at last!! I headed home, made a few clicks on the computer and waited. A few days later my wheels and coil overs arrived. After a few hours in the garage, I had her sitting quite nicely. And since I had to run some errands I thought to myself "What a perfect way to break a Hachi and her new shoes in with a lil coastal run!" And although it was still down a bit on power and the suspension needed to be fine tuned, it still made me smile!! And it was then that I knew I needed one more car...at least for the tie being. As I pulled into the driveway, I watched Carrie leave in the RSX. She was only here visiting for a bit, so she just seemed to help herself to anything she wanted as usual. And with TX flying back and forth to the States, we had a bit of free moments to ourselves. I found myself missing my old Civic hatch. And I knew I had to get another. After scouring the ads, I found a clean DX hatch with a Type R 5 lug conversion. The previous owner had put a bt of time and cash into it but had other things pressing so he had to sell. With a small round of negotiations, I found myself the new owner of a Milano Red Ek!!! Still had the hook up on Honda parts, so I quickly acquired a set of coilovers and front lip for it. Even score a carbon hood from Wolfing!! It was gonna be an awesomne build!! Now its time to find people to street race!!!! They wont be ready......
