| So I'm looking at a wheel to buy and I've got it sorted down to two wheels w/ pedals & shifter. Unless anyone can lead me in the directions of a better wheel w/ all these goodies for around the same price, I'll be sticking with these. I'll also have to invest in a PC desk (possibly chair too) so I'll be close to $500-$550 no matter what wheel I choose.
Logitech
(PC & PS3 Compatible, Xbox compatible w/ adapter shown below) Logitech G27 Wheel + H-Pattern Shifter + Pedals - $299.99 XCM Converter (Xbox Compatible) - $69.99 Total - $370.00

| buy real racecar = priceless lol
both have 900* steering, both look good, both cost roughly the same.. id personally go the CSR route.. i dont think the logitechs pedals have adjustable springs in them to hake them feel like real pedals (what i hate most about the MS wheel.

| yep. i like having adjustability lol. also if your buying a new chair dont go cheap, ihate my $20 computer chair.. its fine for controller drifting, just lounging.. but if i use my wheel its flimsy as hell.. id love to get a dest but my room isnt near big enough | |

| Yeah mines not big at all either. I'd have to do some re-arranging to fit everything in here. We'll see. I'm not 100% sure I'm buying a wheel just yet, just interested. | |

| i was, still am too.. i just gott bigger and much more expensive things to take care of ATM.. that $500 could mean the differance between aluminum heads of a junkyard LT1 lol
i still vote CSR if you do get a wheel doe

| I'd rather get the G27. Its cheaper and more user friendly. Also, the shifters are quieter and the wheel rim isnt thick as hell like the Fanatec. Its up to you man, but I'd recommend the Logitech for playing rFactor and other PC games. | |

| Here's some pros cons I've heard.
Pros Fanatec Pedals are customizaable for the user. Logitech Wheel is completely round (better for drifting)
Cons Fanatec wheel isn't completely round so it's a little weird. I don't think the Logitech Pedals are customizable. Logitech doesn't have FFB with the adapter for Xbox use

| yes and if your drifting the wheel fights you.. having no FFB is like roller drifting with no vibration | |

| The best bit of advice i can give you Falken is to give the converter a wide birth It fools your xbox into thinking you're using a wired controller and sends rumble signals to the Logitech so the wheel pulls left and right, like FFB, BUT it is not FFB and the wheels do not react naturally InsideSimRacing did a review (yes they are very fanatec biased) but most gamers that know how a wheel should react think the converter is garbage and only for those with a logitech already and dont want to shell out for a new wheel to play with Bill Gates' offering As a fanatec owner i'll tell you, if you dont like the rim, grow a pair and change it lol my PWTS has the momo i fitted to my 200sx and sierras on it (similar setup to BYracing) and i have no complaints about the csr pedals either, the Porsche shifters however are cheap nasty shit! the csr's are supposed to be better but are the same design just in metal... the £150-200 Club sport shifters make my winkle tingle The logitech is geared apposed to all fanatecs are belt drives (except the original porsche wheel which is not xbox compatible anyway) which is MUCH quieter If its for the xbox then there is no real choice but the fanatec (probs why they cost too much) If its for everything else the Logitech shifter is miles better than the standard fanatec fare the pedals are swings and roundabouts, the logi's are more solid feeling but the csr's are adjustable the wheels themselves perform in a similar way (g25-27 vs GT2) with the fanny being quieter, but the csr being better all round then both For pc-ps3 i would recomend the G25-27 as the price difference is bigger then the benefits of a fanatec But for xbox..... | |

| I would probably be getting it for PC because my Xbox is in another room. I am looking at the G27 because I like the shifter, and the fact that the wheel itself is perfectly round. If I were getting a wheel for both Xbox and PC, I'd prefer the Fanatec. But as it sits right now, I'd prefer the Logitech. | |

| Don't get me wrong, the Fanatec is an awesome wheel, I just don't like how it's a perfect circle so it wouldn't be the best for drifting, and it's another $100 over the Logitech. | |

| If a perfect circle is your deciding factor, your doing it all wrong | |

| I would recommend waiting until the next Gen consoles come out so you can get one of the latest wheels but if you want one now to use on Xbox, PS3 and PC Get the Fanatec as the adapter for the Logitech just gives you a huge analogue stick as Mosuke explained. Also if you don't like the Wheel Rim for the Fanatec mod it and stick on an actual wheel like a fake Nardi or some shit. | |

| I'm thinking of getting a G27 for my PC. Will it work on just about any computer/laptop? | |
