| I'm not really sure where to begin..
I used to be a massive petrol head, perhaps used to be is the wrong term as I guess it's never something that we grow out of. Just life gets in the way and priorities change, time becomes taken up by unrelated things and your hobbies must take a back seat for a while. It was always there though, the need to go fast and spend too much money on a car.
The last time I owned something I actually liked was when I was back in Colorado! I had a great time there that's for sure, from building an 800hp Supra to taking a 240Z and completely transforming it into something my own. Unfortunately business there died I was forced to move back to the UK where I am originally from. I worked a bit there but quickly found myself pining for another adventure. A few business moves and bank loans later I found myself on a one way flight to Australia.
Australia has always been one of the places I wanted to live for quite a while now! And this feels like the perfect opportunity to do so. I have myself a job set up here and am currently house sharing with two other people to spread the cost of living. Atleast until I have enough income coming in to be able to live on my own.
I have been here for a few months now and have a bit of money saved up to buy myself a half decent car, I had so many options and I was 50/50 between the yellowest 370Z I have ever seen or a Mitsubishi Evo 9.. I have never really played with AWD as my roots have always been RWD. After much consideration and pondering and forum searches I couldn't stray from the thing I know best. A few days later I was picking up my 2010 Nissan 370Z! And I couldn't be happier with it.

| I wasn't expecting as much choice as I had. Turns out I can buy a lot of car with the savings I had, I had so much choice! I was looking at Evo's, WRX's, high spec Golf R's, Focus RS's.. The list could literally go on! I guess I should explain the reasoning behind the 370Z. I had zero intention of buying another Nissan, I've been in the Nissan game for a long time. They usually all get drifted, crashed, stripped and rebuilt into another chassis. I think this is the most modern car I've ever owned. It makes a nice change to be comfortable and have a bit of grunt behind me. I went looking at an Evo 9 from a JDM imports garage in the next town to me and I saw this for the first time! I was genuinely in love at first sight. I always knew of the 370's, ofcourse I have, just when I was in the drifting game these were farrrr too expensive to be skidding about into walls and other cars. Only people with bank and sponsors got to play in these. Turns out they're pretty affordable cars now. So after much consideration I was back, with my bank account looking massively drained and a huge smile on my face! Plans for now are to just use it as a daily and the odd track day/meet up. I don't have many ideas in which direction to go with it as of yet, it does need to be faster though that's for sure!! 3 things first on the list are coilovers, an exhaust of some kind and an ECU flash, and a nice set of shiny new wheels. Other than that there's not much else I 'want' right away, things will happen in due time though. Ohhh, I also did a little skid and I can feel that bug coming back.. Maybe a second car is needed on the driveway soon. | |

| I got a lot done to the Z today, started by giving it a clean and headed down to a garage with a boot full of goodies! The garage I went to has a dyno and mapping facilities so I chose them to get my exhaust fitted and ECU flashed. I went with an Armytrix system with a race Y-Pipe, Mid Pipe, Dual chrome tips and a nice little feature that lets me electronically control valves inside the exhaust to different levels of volume.. And ofcourse I have it as loud as possible. More detail to come tomorrow, for now here's a teaser. | |

| A little about what I had done to the Z. I have been in touch with a few garages around the area and landed with a garage that consists of 4 guys that mainly deal with Japanese imports. They have a vast amount of knowledge when it comes to these cars and after speaking with them I feel I can trust them to work on my car, I would usually do most of the work myself but I have very limited space right now so I have no choice right now. They are pretty affordable to be fair though! I turned up in the morning and hung around for a bit whilst they got the exhaust I ordered ready to fit. When I arrived there was a brand new Nissan GT-R in their parking lot, couldn't help but take some pictures of it! It's such an amazing car! Just the amount of technology that is in it and what it is capable of is insane! It is definitely one of my favorite cars and who knows, maybe they'll take me for a ride in it one day haha! Both Nissan V6's just chilling, haha! Only the GTR's is capable of so much more! F A C E O F F They had managed to fit the exhaust, map it so it fuels correctly and even fitted a K&N cone filter to make it breath better. Very very pleased with the outcome! Sounds 100x better, first thing to do was find the nearest tunnel and nail it through! Smiles all round! They also had some black wrap that they were testing out, and ofcourse I volunteered to have some bits on mine wrapped up haha! Check back tomorrow to see the outcome of that. | |

| I have only had the exhaust on a day and I've managed to rack up 160 miles and burn through so much fuel! Haven't been changing gear until the very end of the gear to get all of that wonderful V6 noise! Honestly cannot get enough of it haha! I mentioned that the garage I have been at recently had some wrap that they wanted testing. I ofcourse obliged and had my rear diffuser, front splitter and roof done in black. Love how it breaks apart the yellow a bit! Also have something else on there now.. | |

| Haven't really been making much progress with the 370 recently, just been enjoying blasting it around and not having a car that breaks down every 50 miles. Or an engine that needs pulling from the car every weekend. Still need to scratch that itch that drifting has left, big plans on that so stay tuned haha!
I have ordered a few goodies for the Z over the last week, a set of BC Racing coilovers and a full Nismo kit has been delivered today. I'll get the springs on today but as for the kit I'm waiting on something else first. If all goes to plan the Z may not be rocking the yellow for much longer!

| Spent a couple months out of the country on business, the 370z stayed in a buddies garage untouched for ages! Soon as I got back I listed it for sale, I'm far too scared of writing it off to have any real fun in it and that's not what I want from a car. It sold the same day and then a couple hours later I had the next project on my driveway. Introducing the first part of Street Heroes, a 'team' as such. Not in the essence of doing events and competing but more of a group of people that have the same vision as me. The idea of Street Heroes stems from the old FM4 days. Just simple, low power builds, no 600hp V8 caged race cars. Street cars with style in mind. Wanting to keep everything simple with this Miata. Cheap to run and not worried about crashing. Peace. | |

| This whole 'easy and cheap' thing isn't as easy and cheap as I first thought. This is my fourth day with the car and I've broken it at least 8 times and I've only driven the thing a handful of times. To even get it to kick out a little bit you really have to give it hell. A very different driving style than I'm used to. I bought a set of second hand Tein Flex coilovers from eBay, seeing as they were local I got in touch with the seller and arranged to pick them up. When I got there he also had a full Garage Vary body kit from his Miata drift car he was breaking. Picked those up too along with some Swoosh gauges he had picked up from Japan but never installed. Even at this height it was pretty much un-driveable on the roads where I live but still.. Gotta go lower! Decided against putting the rest of the kit on as the rear bumper and side skirts are pretty knackered. Gonna repair them first. Waited until the police were asleep and then me and a couple friends went out and tested out the "new" coilovers. I did 3 corners and the radiator went.. Bodged it back on and drove it carefully home, got a Mishimoto aluminum rad waiting to go on I just can't be bothered. Plans for the Miata so far: - Stop it from breaking all the time - Remove non essential weight - Lower it more - Get a decent alignment - Shiny wheels - And stop it from breaking all the time!! | |

| Me and a couple friends pulled an all nighter on the Miata last night. First on the list was the rad, got the old one out and it was well beyond gone! Got the Mishimoto one lined up and bolted in, also bought an eBay special fan to bolt to the rad too for extra cooling. Got that fitted and wired to a switch that's located on the dash. Also wired up the gauges I bought.
Then we figured we'd get all the non-essential weight out of the car before we got the coilovers lowered. Removed the PAS, A/C unit, carpets, sound deadening, all the rubbish in the boot. Anything that didn't contribute to the car moving forwards basically.
Got the car up and lowered the coils as far as I could, had to mess with the camber to get the wheels to fit. Still not 100% perfect, can't get to full lock for example, haven't driven it yet but just looking at it I know it's going to catch and rub all the time. Going to have to roll the arches some and see if we can knock the inside of the wheel arch in a bit. It'll do until my new wheels arrive.
Sitting and something like -3 camber on the front. Should help me get maximum anglezzzz.
Also fitted a genuine K&N cone filter I found for a steal along with a cheap un-branded exhaust. Not a full system, just from the cat back and deletes the back box. Sounds a little more intimidating now.. Until you remember it's a Miata and has 14bhp.

| It rained yesterday, perfect time to take the Miata out! Drifts real nice in the wet! Bottomed out a few times but as to be expected. Probably completely ruining the complete underside of my car, oh wellllll. A couple things have come up recently and it has ended with me being a bit more well off than I had anticipated, so I plan on buying a second car to build. Ideally a rolling shell, something I can build from the ground up, know exactly what it's got done to it and its history. Plan to look for a 240/S13, SC300 or an FC RX7, haven't really decided yet. Whatever I end up will be my idea of a perfect street build. In the mean time the Miata is going to undergo some surgery. I have had the rear bumper and skirts repaired and sprayed in primer. Probably biggest thing that's going to happen is the T25 I have just bought being put on there! Going to the first car I have turbo'd myself, aiming for the 200bhp mark. T25 is more than capable of doing that, and reliably doing that too. More to come soon! | |

| Okay.. Here's something unexpected.. Found this for a steal online, and buying this gives me the perfect chance to take the Miata off the road and dedicate real time to it rather than building it in a rush as it's my only car. The Supra is pretty much stock besides some horrible lowering springs the previous owner put on. He also had it re-sprayed in black and machine polished so it looks the part! Engine is completely stock, gonna get it up on the jacks later on today and give it a full service and see what's what. Plans are to just make it look pretty on some nice wheels and not crash it, just a daily for now. May swap it to single turbo and get a nice cat back exhaust for it. Other than that not much. So the Miata is off the road! Over the next few days I'll get the front stripped, engine out, solid bushings and some nice ARB's, wheels to go on, fit turbo, back together with some other nice new parts and off to be sprayed! | |

| I went out to a specialist car dealer the other day. I originally went with the intention of buying an R35 GTR. Something practical, fast and full of tech. What I ended up actually buying was pretty much the polar opposite of a GTR.. I arrived to the GTR on the doorstep waiting for me, was shown around it and went inside for a coffee. That is when I saw it, the 2016 Viper ACR. The Viper has always been like a dream car of mine from being a child, but not something I ever actually pictured myself buying. Always felt like it was a case of 'never drive your dream car' kind of deal, nice to look at but heard that they weren't the easiest car to live with. However, the 2016 ACR has something about it. The way that even though it was stood still in a showroom it still demanded the attention of everyone in the room. The massive wing, huge splitter and canards. It wouldn't look out of place hurtling around Laguna Seca, but perhaps it would in the city. It came surprisingly well equipped for something that from the outside looks like it would have the worlds most uncomfortable seat and a load of scaffholding in the back. Like it could actually be used as a daily, absolutely no one has ever bought one of these with the intention of dailying it. Until now.. There is hardly anything on this beast that can't be adjusted. Everything about the suspension can be changed and adjusted, it was currently running a very safe set up and was sitting as high as could allow. The wing can be adjusted to aid either cornering or speed, as can the front aero. Could have some fun with that. With the rear tyres being 355's and being as thick as a rubber band it would be difficult finding tyres, and with 645WHP it would no doubt get through tyres quite fast in my hands. After some test driving and bartering we agreed on a price and they took the car to prep it for delivery! More to come... | |
