Welcome to MnM's first Grassroots Drifting Tournament: Keep it Roots, Proudly hosted by Battleworx Industries. This Tournament will bring hardcore action to the community while you watch drivers battle it out to try and make it to the top.

Vehicle Regulations:

How the Tournament works:

The rules are simple. A 1v1 battle, first person to win 3 runs wins the battle. When each round is announced, you put a thread up in the Battle Lounge with the section, whatever round it is, chosen judges, etc... You will all have 5 days to get the battle done.

In each run:

Each run requires a minimum of 1 point to win. These points are awarded per corner by a judge. If a driver gets [Tie, Tie, Point], he will WIN that battle.

Judging:

Judging will be a choice of corner or spectate judging. Drivers who are battling can decide this between themselves in the battle threads. When judges are judging, they will be looking for runs to meet this criteria:

SPEED: Speed is a non-subjective criterion. Speed is used by monitoring a driver’s speed at a specific part of the course. Each course may have multiple speed capturing areas, but only one area will ultimately be used in scoring.

ANGLE: The maximum drift angle at which a driver can maintain and control his/her vehicle throughout the marked course.

LINE: The drift line is defined as the ideal path a vehicle must take on course and is marked by inner clipping points and outer clipping zones. The exact line of each track will be dictated by the judges at each track.

OVERALL IMPACT/STYLE: Style is probably the most subjective part of the drivers’ runs. Style is just as it sounds: The drivers’ overall ability to take the specific judging criteria and display it is the most personal and individual way. Aggressive flicks, closeness to walls, extreme angle and extreme proximity to the lead vehicle (in case of head-to-head competitions) are examples of how your driving style can be showcased.

Spin-outs and/or Stalls:

The Spin out stall rule only complies for turns under 50% of the run. If 2/3 corners can be judged, the spin/stall goes against the drifter for the final turn. However if it’s under 50% or the run, you only get 2 chances.
A maximum of 2 redo’s per person per round. After that, the person who didn't spin out can take the win.

Vehicle Contact:

If the FOLLOW car contacts the LEAD car, and causes the lead car to stop drifting, or pushes the lead car too far away from their line, the RUN goes to the lead car. If the follow car contacts the lead car, and the lead car can continue drifting, the result is a loss of that CORNER.

The Battle:

The 50 Roll:
Everyone and their pet should always remember this... Drivers must be between 45-50mph during the 50-roll zone for each track. Anything above and below is fail. A maximum of 52 mph is allowed during a 50-roll, but must be returned to 50 MPH before the zone ends. (for those who have an 'itchy' RT finger) Accidents do happen...
NO overtaking during the 50 Roll!

Clipping Points:

Clipping points will remain as the white line, if there is not a white line at the track, then the edge of the rumble strip will be classed as the clipping point.

Tire Drop/Dirt Drop:
Two or more tires in the dirt is considered a dirt drop, therefore the call for "clipping point" in the battle must not be given to that drifter. You can still judge it on Speed and angle, so I suggest that judges don't deprive a drifter of the whole turn due to a dirt drop. Only one tire in the dirt is allowed and you can only call inside clipping point from the next closest tire to the white line.

Tournament rules:

Each battle room must have: The exact number of Judges, no more no less.

Paints and Liveries:

No restrictions, but you must have the KiR Sponsor Box and Window Strip on your car in every battle. Anyone seen in a battle without their Box and Strip applied must be reported to me immediately so I can deal with the situation.

Complaints/Issues:

Do NOT post your problems publicly on the Forums. Instead, PM me and I will deal with any situations you have. If you have an issue with anybodies judging, PLEASE try and resolve it in the battle with the Judges and the players involved. If you do not have replay footage to prove it, your issue will simply just be dropped. So if you have beef with anything in a battle, always remember to grab the replay just in case.
