So I've been hearing about a lot of really cool things happening in the France and Italy area. People racing against trains, hot air balloons, even a cargo plane... Elmo's been hounding me to get out there, so after seeing all of that, I decided to pack my bags. I found a house to rent for a while, found a nice car, got a plane ticket, and I was off.
When it came to the car it had to be something stylish, that you don't get in the states. So I found this gem, a 1999 Evo VI GSR.
I met the guy at his house, picked the car up, and stopped in at the house I was renting to drop my bags off.
After that, it was off to the shop. The sun had already set by the time I got there, and it was an all nighter getting the work done. Sadly, I didn't have any time to get pictures of it being worked on, and I had a lot to do. Being a memeber of Drift Machine, the first task was swapping it to RWD. I know, some people will consdier it sacrilege, but I call it creativity. DON'T CENSOR ME!!! After that was a quick tune up, then new lowering springs and dampers, and finally I bolted on a set of HRE 945rl's. By the time I finished, the sun had come up, and it was closing in on the afternoon.
So I took her for a quick spin back to the house to get some rest. Jet lag and working all night kicked my butt.
Once I woke up, it was time to give the car a real shakedown.
After it passed my inspection, it was time to check in for the festivities, and start partying.
