| 1990 Subaru Legacy RS
Decided to move here to Europe because I heard the racing scene was pretty crazy. Only problem is I signed up for a race before even touching ground over here. To make matters worse, my flight kept getting delayed. By the time I walked out of the airport, the race was just about to begin. Luckily, while in panic mode, I was able to purchase a car on Ebay while mid flight. When I arrived to pick up the car, I realized then my luck was a fluke. The listing was for a Subaru Impreza STi. At first I thought I had the wrong car till I saw the note under the windshield wiper that read, "Ha ha sucker!" Something did seem kind of odd when he said he would leave it parked at the hotel I would be staying at, with the keys under the floor mat. Not to mention the price was a bit cheap. Not having the time to be angry, I threw my luggage in the trunk and head to the meeting spot. This thing was horrible! It burned and leaked oil, had a wicked shimmy at highway speeds, made a weird noise and I'm not even sure the turbo worked. Then things got much worse when I arrived at the meeting spot. The cars there were no joke, everyone pointed and laughed at my car, asking if I needed directions to the grocery store. One guy even asked me if I was in my grandmothers car. Still, after all the ridicule, I pulled up to the line. The race started and I was quickly out ran. I managed to take an Integra off the line, but once he caught traction, he was gone like everyone else. I just kept chugging along with my only goal of just finishing the race. That goal was short lived when not even half way through the race, the car just dies. The car finally started 30 minutes later after it cooled down. I limped it to the hotel and passed out. Next day I signed a lease on my new garage and went straight to work on this wannabe STi. I fixed the oil leaks along with performing a full tune up. turns out what I thought was a failing turbo was just a clogged catalytic converter, so i replaced everything with a custom 3 inch exhaust. Fixed the shimmy with a new set of rims and tires. Added a few extra performance parts and it started running surprisingly well. Its actually fun to drive now and it will only get better from here on out. - Car Specs:
