| Another thing I forgot about the Tamiya R33: The molded-on indicators should be painted silver, then use a clear brush paint (like Tamiya clear orange/amber) over top of the silver. Use Tamiya clear red for the taillights, and silver for the inside of the light housing. Use white "Elmer's Glue" if it's available where you live - it dries thin and clear and won't leave shitty-looking glue splotches on the lenses. Basically white "kid's glue". Like you'd put in your kid's pencil case. | |

| Love the shakotan boso-spec builds. Back in like 2007-2008 they were HUGE on SPC. | |

| Yeah, just make sure to just have it soaking wet when you put it in. If you leave it in water and then freeze it, the ice will crush/break it. You can't possibly leave it in too long, so don't worry about it. Just long enough to freeze the water - any longer won't hurt it. | |

| I'll just throw it in overnight then, get back to it when I wake up at some point in the afternoon. | |

| Oh, and it might take a couple tries, so just keep doing it until it falls apart. If the glue is really globbed on, freezing probably won't do. The other method is to boil it, but that has a VERY high chance of warping the kit. | |

| Depends. Tamiya makes the highest quality kits, but 90% of their kits are Japanese vehicles. Aoshima is in a very close second, but again 90% Japanese vehicles. Revell is next, they make really high quality cars from all over the world, from American to European to some Japanese. AMT has the market nearly cornered on American muscle cars, but their mold quality is pretty terrible. They half-ass details and they haven't made a "new" mold in decades. Even their newest kits are re-issues (same old mold in a new box) from the 70's and 80's.
If you can forgive a kind of shitty-looking model and want to take on the challenge of improving them, you'll find most of the stuff you're into is made by AMT. Just be sure to have plenty of sandpaper because you'll need it, haha.

| No worries! I'd really suggest www.1999.co.jp/eng
They have great prices and nice shipping ($10-15 shipping for up to three kits from Japan to the US) and they arrive fast and are probably the lowest you will ever find for prices. You'll find a lot of "cheap" kits on eBay based in Hong Kong, but 99% of the time they're scams. Your kit will "go missing" or the seller will give you some other excuse, and you'll be out around $40 and have no kit.

| Falken:
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10227034
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10227033
And you'll be paying about $15 shipping compared to $30. Seriously, unless you can't find the kit you want, DON'T resort to eBay.

| I really have no idea what you're talking about. I've been ordering from there for ages. For a stack of kits from Japan to the US, $20 shipping for insurance and tracking, plus the fact that you usually get them within 5 days of ordering them - that's pretty insanely low. Let me share with you this amazing image I took of one of my most unbelievably fast shipping times: I ordered three kits and some parts, and the shipping was only $22. It took only 4 days to get from Tokyo to my house in upstate NY. | |

| OH DUH. Sorry, haha. I keep forgetting that 1999 is actually called "Hobby Search" and I get Hobby Link and their names confused all the time. XD
HLJ is a GREAT place to get the hard to find kits, but they hardly ever restock, and they do tend to overcharge because they know damn well what they have their hands on, haha.
