I had lived in Colorado for a about a year. I imported an FD RX7, and had a new BRZ. I had a good job, a nice house, and life was good. One day, that good job wasnt so good any more. I was laid off, along with several others due to lack of work. I didnt waste any time and sold my cars and moved back home To Canada.
Well living in Canada, I bought a 1993 Nissan Skyline R32 GTR V spec. It was in great condition with only 80,000kms so for 13k I couldnt say no. I Pulled the front axles, diffs etc in favor of a rear wheel drive set up, welded the diff, and stripped some excess weight.
After dropping the car off at the docks in Vancouver, I went home to continue packing my belongings. I had a long trip ahead of me.
It took about a month for the GTR to arrive at the docks in France. It gave me enough time to adjust to my new home, without the burden of a high maintenance car.
Unloading the car at the docks was a bit of pain. Nearly tore off the front lip, but she made onto European soil safe and sound.
By the time all the paperwork was done, it was dark out. The drive home was quiet and peaceful as it was late at night.
Of course with my luck, it started to rain.
With very little traffic around, I figured it wouldnt hurt to have some fun.
She looked right at home parked in front my house the next morning.
