The Story - #1 - 新たな始まり. // A new beginning.

So here we are, starting again. It's been a while guys, but we're back - and the following year's are going to be the biggest for us so far with all the huge plans we have coming up. However, our time is Europe was over and it was time to fly back home.

We're just about ready to open up garage again. Our very own "factory of drift", or "Dorifuto no kōjō" as we call it over here. There's a lot of work to do, but thankfully after getting rid of the old machines back in Europe, we have the money to start off fresh and start new projects and work our way back up. I already have my eyes set on a clean S13 coupe, so we'll see what we can do.

The Story - #2 - 新しい車を買います. // Buying a new car.

Since we've settled back in, it was about that time to start looking for a new car. So I decided to head over to some of the local used car dealerships, looking for something that had potential as a drift project. I found a super clean PS13 that was bone stock. It was quite expensive for a stock S-body but it had no problems and very low mileage, the previous owner was probably an old woman haha.

So, with the deal done and dusted, I made my way back home to the garage and put her under wraps ready for tomorrow when I begin some of the work. The lads will be over to help out with stuff so that we can build her up ready to get on track sooner.

The car was back home and the next day I called up a few old friends to let them know I was back from Europe and bought an S13, and needed a few parts.

Despite being overwhelmed about the short notice that I was back and ready to get the ball rolling again, we met up and headed over to some parts dealers to find some new wheels and see what was on offer. I managed to find some Stance Pro Comp coilovers and a set of 17" VOLK TE37's for a really good deal, so I bought them and also picked up a new clutch kit on our travels.

We took it back to the garage, mounted the block and immediately got to work. She's looking pretty tidy as a rolling shell for now!

Later on, she was all fixed up and ready to leave the shop for a little test drive.

Still needs a new transmission as it appears to be worn, we're probably going to keep it street-legal as we're on a budget so a new dog-box will probably be fitted. We can weld our own roll cage to make it track legal and safe, so all of that is in the works.

The next day, we had a s**t load more parts arrive at the shop. We fit a new turbo kit, a whole new HKS exhaust system, new cams and much much more.

I got one of the lads to go out and fetch me some new Project m.u. brakes as well. The car is currently in bits but she'll be back up and running very soon and after we'll have to thrash it about a bit and set up the car for optimum skidz.

The Story - #5 - 車の再構築. // Rebuilding the car.

The car had been stripped down of most of it's components to replace them with new ones that we had ordered or bought on our travels. My friends and I got it fixed up in no time so that I could do soem quick fine tuning adjustments. After a few checks, we left to make our way to the test track.

On the way there, it began to rain, which was going to be a little bit more dangerous considering it's our first time out with the new build. But I didn't let that stop me from thrashing it around!

Yep, that's right. I went ahead and bought another car, another S-body in fact.

We noticed a lot of guys around here were building abandoned/sold cars at one of the local used car dealerships. I spoke to one of my friends about it whilst working on the coupe today... "Go check the place out, Aki. You'll find a great deal over there that you won't be able to refuse." ... so I did!

He wasn't kidding. This car had no owner for roughly two or three years, it was completely stock and in pretty mint condition besides the scuff on the right-front fender. The price surpassed my expectations, so I bought it without hesitation, which was a shock to me considering I was only snooping around the dealership. I'm not sure what plans the guy had for this car those years ago, but we definitely have big plans for it.

The Story - #7 - アップキッティング // Kitting up the coupe

It's been a quiet couple of days. We finished our first events on a high note, coming 2nd place in the drift comp with a car only recently built (I thank my friends for helping) and 4th place in a time attack with our drift car, against the likes of Evo's and Skyline's. However, it was time to get back to work. Our kits had arrived shortly after we got back home and eventually we got to work to kit up the S13. But before that, we began spraying the car with the base colour of our new livery which will be finished up soon. Along with that and the new Origin kit, she looks pretty tidy!

Moving to Australia

We haven't been around in a while, we had a lot of calls to go compete in several drift competitions and our team had built cars for us. Myself, Renjiro, Hirajima and several others from the team have been relatively busy with that and we're scheduled to be making a move to Australia to carry on with our builds, get settled and make our mark in the car scene over there.
